Woman Suffrage Lectures

This 1914 card advertises several upcoming lectures by Lila Meade Valentine, the president of the Equal Suffrage League of Virginia, which would take place in Hampton on the evening of April 21, 1914, and in Newport News the following evening. Valentine argued strenuously for the woman suffrage cause, but people with all viewpoints were invited to her lectures— "Antis," "Indifferents," and "Suffragists."
