Philip Norborne Nicholas

Philip Norborne Nicholas, member of a prominent Virginia political family, is the subject of this head-and-shoulders engraved portrait by Charles Balthazar Julien Fevret de Saint-Mémin. This image was created in Richmond about 1808. Nicholas served as Virginia's attorney general and as a member of the Convention of 1829–1830.
