Wake Up! Richmond, VA.

This 1976 handbill produced by the Richmond Crusade for Voters organization urges every U.S. citizen over 18 years old to register to vote, and, if purged from the voting rolls, to re-register. The broadside notes that you must register in person, have a Social Security number, and know your birth date. The plea ends with:

"You Gotta Believe It" Your One Vote Does Count
The Crusade for Voters was created in 1956 in order to register and mobilize Black voters during Massive Resistance.
