Handley Library
This photograph, taken about 1913, depicts Handley Library, located at 100 West Piccadilly Street, Winchester. John Handley of Scranton, Pennsylvania, bequeathed $250,000 to the city to build a public library. The Beaux-Arts style building was designed by the New York architects J. Stewart Barney and Henry Otis Chapman and completed in 1909.
