The Partisan Leader

This is the title page of the Confederate edition of Beverley Tucker's The Partisan Leader, published in Richmond in 1862. The book, a historical novel that predicted the Civil War, was originally published in 1836 with the full title The Partisan Leader; A Tale of the Future. This 1862 edition was published during the Civil War and bore the title The Partisan Leader: A Novel, and an Apocalypse of the Origin and Struggles of the Southern Confederacy.
