Mount Custis Plantation

This twentieth-century photograph shows Mount Custis plantation in Accomack County on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. The oldest section of the house, which dated back to the seventeenth century, was removed in 1834. The old family graveyard was located close to the house, as was once customary on the Eastern Shore.
