An Iroquois warrior sets upon his enemy in this hand-colored engraving published in Jacques Grasset de Saint-Sauveur's Costumes de Différents Pays (ca. 1797). Grasset de Saint-Sauveur was a Canadian-born writer and artist who moved to Paris and became a diplomat.
