Thomas Pinckney, of South Carolina—an American diplomat, politician, and military officer during the American Revolution and the War of 1812—is the subject of this 1791 oil-on-wood portrait by the artist John Trumbull. The portrait hangs in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C.
