Sisters
Delores Rankin and her sister lean on the railing outside of their Vinegar Hill home in this color photograph taken by Gundars Osvalds, a white high-school student who learned that the neighborhood was to be torn down for an urban renewal project and decided, in 1963, to take some photographs of Vinegar Hill while people still lived there.
