Roanoke Organization of Communities Protest

This news clip from Roanoke’s news station WSLS aired on June 10, 1968, and shows a protest of the Roanoke Organization of Communities at a city council meeting. Protesters with signs line the hallways outside of the meeting room, while activists Juliet Croson and Juanita Taylor speak to the council on their behalf. The organization was protesting the substandard living conditions of the poor residents of Roanoke.
