Richmond College

This color postcard view of Richmond College (now the University of Richmond) is postmarked 1909. A caption on the back of the card reads:

Richmond College, the oldest and best equipped college in Richmond, is situated at the western end of the city, within a stone's throw at Lee Circle. The college was established in 1840, and is Baptist in government; it is comprised of eight academies and schools, and has about 250 students in attendance, the property is valued at about $350,000.
