Paquiquineo’s Story

James Horn, the vice president of research and historical interpretation at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, and Douglas Foard, an expert on Spanish history from George Mason University, describe the remarkable story of the Virginia Indian Paquiquineo (when he became baptized, Paquiquineo changed his name to Don Luís de Velasco). This audio clip is an excerpt from an interview that originally aired in July 2005, on the radio program With Good Reason, which is produced by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and hosted by Sarah McConnell.
