Advertisement for McCormick Steel Mower No. 3

An advertisement for a McCormick agricultural machine—Steel Mower No. 3—depicts a single farmer, at top, mowing his field with his horse-drawn machine. The accompanying caption notes that the mower is "light, swift & sure." A facing image shows a smiling farmer who boasts, "I bought a McCormick Machine." This is part of an elaborate fold-out brochure produced for the McCormick Harvesting Machine Company in 1881.
