Map of the Environs of Boston

John Almon, a radical British printer who helped to disseminate American propaganda in London, published this map of Boston on August 28, 1775 in the London publication The Remembrancer. The map shows little detail, but includes city landmarks and the location of military camps around Boston in June 1775. It was one of the earliest British military maps of Boston following the Battle of Bunker Hill.
