View over Vinegar Hill

This photograph, taken around 1964, looks south over Vinegar Hill in Charlottesville. The building in the left foreground is Reynold’s Electric and Appliances. The steeple of Mt. Zion Baptist Church is visible in the background next to Midway school, the segregated white school funded by city tax dollars.
