If you will be in the Charlottesville-Albemarle neighborhood of Virginia on Friday afternoon, please take note:
Attention Virginians: On Friday, June 19th at 5:30 PM, BackStory will be staging a rare, live event. The History Guys will be taping a live performance of the show at the University of Virginia’s Miller Center of Public Affairs, in Charlottesville. Admission is free.
The topic for the evening will be “Looking for Work: A History of Unemployment.” The History Guys will take “calls” from the audience, play archival audio, and discuss major turning points in the history of unemployment, with the goal of shedding light on what current high unemployment rates could mean for us as a nation in the near future.
Immediately following the show, the Miller Center will be hosting a meet-and-greet reception with the History Guys. All are welcome; registration, however, is required. You can register online here.
