Kepone Environmental Hazard

This excerpt is from The Story of OSHA, a film produced in 1980 by the federal government to document workplace hazards investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This clip describes the OSHA investigation of the Allied Chemical Corporation in Hopewell, Virginia, and their employees' exposure to Kepone. In 1981 the newly appointed head of OSHA, Thorne Auchter, tried to recall all copies of the film and threatened to punish anyone who refused to return his or her copy.
