John Cabell’s Signature

This is John Cabell’s signature as it appears on a letter to acting Governor William Davies on June 10, 1781. Cabell wrote that he had “inclosed you a returne of the number of our Militia” but could not comply with Davies’s request “respecting the Battoes [bateaus], & Canoaes [canoes].”
