Folklore and Folklife in Virginia

The Virginia Folklore Society published four volumes of the scholarly journal Folklore and Folklife in Virginia between 1979 and 1988. This is the cover of the first volume, which included articles on seventeenth-century insult culture in Virginia, the history of Black Banjo players, and an analysis of a street call from peanut vendors in Suffolk.
