Educational Plan from William Cabell (1700-1774)

This page, preserved at the University of Virginia in a folder labeled “scraps and fragments” in the papers of colonial physician William Cabell, outlines a rough educational plan, possibly for one of Cabell’s sons. He directed the student to learn Latin and Greek, natural philosophy, mathematics, geography, astronomy, perspective drawing, vocal or instrumental music, and to “Read such Books as will make him aquainted with all parts of Human body.”
