Dos à Dos
A man and a woman accidentally bump rear ends during the “Dos à Dos” at an elegant ball in this early nineteenth-century satirical print. British graphic artist George Cruikshank published this in a series of four prints entitled Accidents in Quadrille Dancing, which included multiple scenes of members of the British aristocracy looking foolish while attempting the new dance trend.
