Virtual Tour of the Historic Cornland School

This is a virtual tour of the Historic Cornland School, a one room schoolhouse which served Black Children of the Great Dismal Swamp region from around 1903 to 1952. The school taught students from first grade through seventh grade, all by one teacher in the same classroom. Cornland school was originally located off of Benefit Road, in Chesapeake, but was relocated to a historic village on Glencoe Street.
