The English colonists from Roanoke Island arrive at Portsmouth, England. At the same time, Sir Richard Grenville, with six ships and 200 colonists, arrives at Roanoke to find it abandoned. He and his men stay a few weeks then return to England, leaving behind a garrison of fifteen men, who are soon killed by Indians.
