Aspenvale Historical Marker

This historical marker commemorates the location of Aspenvale, the Smyth County plantation house where Revolutionary War general William Campbell lived from 1768 to his death in 1781. Campbell’s remains are located there at Aspenvale Cemetery, along with those of his wife and many of their descendants.
