Anatomical Theatre Animation
This three-dimensional digital animation accurately depicts the Anatomical Theatre, a building that once stood on the grounds of the University of Virginia. Designed by Thomas Jefferson and built in 1825–1826, the Anatomical Theatre was used for anatomy instruction and the storage of cadavers. The building was razed in 1939, the only Jefferson-designed structure torn down at the university. This animation was created as part of the Jefferson's University—Early Life Project, 1819–1870 (JUEL).
