Readjuster-Coalition Ticket.
This broadside promotes the candidacies of Asa Rogers Jr., Robert McCandlish Jr., and Armistead Green for the General Assembly in 1883. They ran as members of the Readjuster Party, a biracial coalition that sought to "readjust," or reduce, the amount of principal and rate of interest on the state's pre–Civil War debt in order to pay for projects such as free public schools. All three candidates won the election.
