Choir of St. Paul’s School

Featured here is a list of the members of the board of trustees for Saint Paul's College (originally Saint Paul Normal and Industrial Institute) that was published in Our Church Industrial High Schools for Negroes (1925), a pamphlet produced "under the supervision of the American Church Institute for Negroes," an auxiliary of the National Council of the Protestant Episcopal Church. The Reverend James Solomon Russell, who founded the school for African American students in 1888, is listed here as the secretary of the board; he also served as the principal of the school. The photograph at the bottom of the page shows the school's choir in front of a church.
