Carter’s Grove (1995)

Carter's Grove, a plantation house on the north shore of the James River, in James River County, is a masterpiece of early Georgian architecture. Built for Carter Burwell between 1751 and 1755, the house has been enlarged and altered over the centuries but remains an important example of colonial Virginia architecture.
