The Bill of Rights (The Constitution of the United States)

This version of the Bill of Rights, on permanent display in the National Archives Rotunda, is the manuscript file copy of the resolution passed by Congress on September 25, 1789. It includes twelve proposed amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Ten of the amendments were eventually ratified in 1791, becoming the U.S. Bill of Rights. The original first two amendment were not ratified, but the second, about the compensation of representatives, later became the Twenty-Seventh Amendment.
