McClellan and the 1864 Presidential Election

A piece of campaign ephemera celebrates the Democratic Party's ticket in the U.S. presidential election of 1864: George B. McClellan and George H. Pendleton. McClellan had been general-in-chief of all Union armies until he was relieved of his command by President Lincoln not long after the Battle of Antietam in the autumn of 1862.
