Woman’s Party Booth at San Francisco Exposition

Kate Waller Barrett's long career in social reform led her to support woman suffrage. She served as honorary vice president of the Equal Suffrage League of Virginia, and served as president of the American Legion Auxiliary and the National Council of Women. Here, she is pictured (front right, seated) with Mary Wright Sewall (front left) and (back, from left to right) Anita Whitney, Mary Bear, Vivian Pierce, and Margaret Whittemore.
