Virginian Luxuries.

A well dressed white man, presumably an enslaver, kisses an enslaved woman and, in a parallel scene, a white man canes an enslaved male in a painting titled Virginian Luxuries. (On the reverse side of the canvas is a portrait of an undentified man.) This painting was made about 1825, probably in New England, by an unknown artist.
