Hell: Per a Spirit-Message Therefrom (Alleged)

In the title page for John Armstrong Chaloner's Hell: Per a Spirit-Message Therefrom (Alleged), the author describes himself as a member of the bar as well as a medium.  In the self-published book Chaloner transcribes a message he allegedly received from a dead friend who described hell as not such a bad place, in which Satan ruled from an enormous hall made of rubies, diamonds and sapphires.
