Seal of Virginia, reverse

The reverse side of the official seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia features three goddesses beneath the Latin word Perseverando, or "by persevering." This plaster mold, fashioned in the 1920s or 1930s, was probably created to make a bronze plaque.
