Protest Sign at Robert Russa Moton High School

A photograph published in the Richmond News Leader on April 30, 1951, shows a handmade sign posted by striking students at Robert Russa Moton High School in Farmville, Prince Edward County. Students had walked out of the school the previous week to protest the poor conditions at their all-Black public high school.
