2018 Meeting of Virginia Latino Advisory Board
Governor Ralph Northam approaches the Virginia Latino Advisory Board (VLAB) at their meeting held on July 26, 2018. In 2003 Governor Mark R. Warner created VLAB, (then called the Virginia Latino Advisory Commission) to provide the administration with information about Virginia’s Latino community. The group became a permanent advisory board in 2005. According to the VLAB annual report of 2018, the board presented Governor Northam with data on Latino “demographics, health, education, economy, employment, and public safety” at the July 2018 meeting.
