George Major Cook, chief of the Pamunkey Indians, offers game in symbolic annual tribute to the governor of Virginia on November 22, 1910. U.S. president William Taft attended the ceremony along with Governor William Hodges Mann. This photograph was made by the W. W. Foster Studio of Richmond, and Cook signed the image at bottom right with the inscription, “Fraternally yours … Chief of the Pamunkeys."
