This is the title page of a report issued by the Portsmouth Relief Association, an organization created during the yellow fever epidemic that devastated Portsmouth and Norfolk in 1855. Local citizens formed the organization to provide necessary medical help and food resources for the populace, as well as to oversee burials of the dead. This 364-page report was issued in 1856.
