James Wood Bouldin

James Wood Bouldin, a member of the House of Delegates (1825–1826) and the U.S House of Representatives (1834–1839), is the subject of this photograph. This retouched image bears the stamp of Rees & Company, a photographic firm established in Richmond in the late 1850s. Since Bouldin died in 1854, this image is probably a copy of an earlier photographic portrait.
