Liberty Hall Academy Ruins
These are the limestone ruins of a building erected in 1793 for Liberty Hall Academy, a small school in Lexington that was the predecessor to Washington College (later Washington and Lee University). The building burned in 1803, but its ruins are still preserved by the university.
