The Right Revd. Bishop Meade, Rector of Christ Church, Norfolk.

This 1836 portrait depicts the Reverend William Meade, then serving as rector of Christ Church in Norfolk as well as assistant Episcopal bishop of Virginia. Meade served as the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia from 1841 until his death in 1862.
