Virtual Tour of a Possible Enslaved Dwelling Near Powhatan
This virtual tour shows a circular, brick, one-room dwelling that might have housed enslaved workers on the Keswick Plantation near Powhatan. The original plantation, which straddles present-day Powhatan and Chesterfield counties, dates back to the early eighteenth century; however, the existing main house was built a century later. The building shown here is currently used for storage.
