Haitian Revolution

French and Haitian soldiers engage in hand-to-hand combat during the Battle of Crête-à-Pierrot, a bloody engagement fought March 4–24, 1802, during the Haitian Revolution. This colored engraving was published in M. de Norvins's Histoire de Napoléon (1839).
