Wine Bottle Seal

This seal for a wine bottle bears the date 1760 and the initials "M. G +A"—meaning, "Mason. George + Ann." This seal was found during excavataions in the slave quarter at Gunston Hall, the Fairfax County plantation home of George and Ann Mason.
