Daniel Boone (1862)

Daniel Boone, the legendary frontiersman credited with cutting a road through the Cumberland Gap to the Kentucky River in 1775, is the subject of this steel engraving published in National Portrait Gallery of Eminent Americans From Original Full Length Paintings by Alonzo Chappel, Volume I (1862).
