Virtual Tour of a Slave Dwelling in Cumberland County

This is a virtual tour of a slave dwelling at Ampthill plantation in Cartersville, an unincorporated community in Cumberland County. Established in the eighteenth century, the plantation was owned variously by members of the Randolph, Carter, and Harrison families. Thomas Jefferson designed a brick addition to the main house that still stands.
