Reverend Goodwin Douglas

The Reverend Goodwin Douglas, pastor of the Farmville Beulah African Methodist Episcopal church, peacefully protests racial discrimination in front of the Prince Edward County Courthouse in July 1963. Douglas carries a sign that reads, "'Father' Forgive them for they know not what they do."
