John Buchanan

John Buchanan, an Episcopal clergyman who served as rector of Henrico Parish (1785–1822) and the treasurer of the Diocese of Virginia (1793–1822), is the subject of this nineteenth-century portrait by the artist John Blennerhassett Martin, an Irish immigrant who lived and worked in Richmond for more than forty years.
