A plat of hair from Thomas Law is encased in a burnished copper alloy bezel case. This hair relic is on the reverse side of a miniature portrait of Law made circa 1790 to 1800. Law, an Englishman, married Eliza Parke Custis, a stepgranddaughter of George Washington.
