This title page for sheet music is bound into a large volume that was part of Thomas Jefferson's personal collection. The sheet introduces "Eighteen entire new Ballads" by Thomas Augustine Arne, the English composer best known for having written Rule Britannia. The name "John Wayles," referring to Jefferson's father-in-law, is handwritten twice at the top of the page.
